PRA-RANCANGAN PABRIK ASAM ASETAT DARI ASETALDEHID DAN OKSIGEN DENGAN PROSES OKSIDASI ASETALDEHID KAPASITAS 115.000 TON/TAHUN

Abstract


Asam asetat (CH3COOH) merupakan cairan higroskopis tak berwarna, berasa asam dan berbau menyengat. Asam asetat termasuk komponen utama cuka selain air. Dalam dunia industri, asam asetat (CH3COOH) banyak digunakan sebagai salah satu bahan penunjang industri lainnya seperti Cellulose Acetate, Vinyl Acetate, Acetic Anhydride, Purified Terephtalic Acid (PTA), industri tekstil, food additive, industri plastik, industri farmasi, insektisida, bahan kimia fotografi dan lain- lain. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dalam negeri serta mengambil langkah untuk menambah nilai ekspor negara maka direncanakan akan didirikan pabrik asam asetat (CH3COOH) yang berada pada daerah kawasan industri di Jungkat, Kecamatan Siantan, Kabupaten Mempawah, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat dengan kapasitas sebesar 115.000 ton/tahun. Pabrik beroperasi selama 330 hari dalam 1 tahun. Bahan baku yang dibutuhkan adalah asetaldehid sebanyak 15.284,423 kg/jam dan gas oksigen sebanyak 15.269,139 kg/jam. Evaluasi ekonomi menunjukkan bahwa pabrik ini membutuhkan biaya investasi total sebesar Rp 514.525.581.063. Analisis profitabilitas menghasilkan Return on Investment (ROI) setelah pajak sebesar 43 %, Pay Out Time (POT) selama 1,3 tahun, Profit on Sales sebesar 10 % dan Break Even Point (BEP) sebesar 47 % dan Shut Down Point (SDP) sebesar 39 %. Berdasarkan data tersebut maka disimpulkan bahwa Pabrik Asam Asetat dari Asetaldehid dan Oksigen dengan Proses Oksidasi Asetaldehid, Kapasitas Produksi 115.000 Ton/Tahun layak didirikan.
