KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS DITINJAU DARI ANALOGI SISWA DALAM MATERI ALJABAR DI SMP

Abstract


Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kemampuan penalaran matematis ditinjau dari analogi siswa dalam menyelesaikan operasi hitung aljabar di kelas VIII SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survey. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 24 siswa di kelas VIIIB SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. Hasil tes kemampuan penalaran analogi menunjukan bahwa jumlah siswa yang berada pada kategori kemampuan penalaran analogi tinggi adalah 4 dari 24 siswa. Jumlah siswa yang berada pada kategori kemampuan penalaran analogi menengah adalah 16 dari 24 siswa. Jumlah siswa yang berada pada kategori kemampuan penalaran analogi rendah adalah 4 dari 24 siswa. Dapat disimpulkan kebanyakan kemampuan penalaran analogi siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Kemala Bhayangkari dalam menyelesaikan operasi hitung aljabar berada pada kategori menengah.

Abstract: This research aims to explain mathematical reasoning ability in terms of student’s analogy in solving algebraic of eighth grade students of SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. This research used descriptive method with survey form. The subjects of this research were 24 students of class VIIIB in SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. The result of analogy reasoning ability test showed that the number of students whose analogy reasoning ability was classified as high category were 4 of 24 students. The number of students whose analogy reasoning ability was classified as medium category were 16 of 24 students. The number of students whose analogy reasoning ability was classified as low category were 4 of 24 students. It could be concluded that most of student’s analogy reasoning ability in class VIIIB SMP of SMP Kemala Bhayangkari in solving algebraic operations was classified as medium category.
