PENGARUH PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS III

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis seberapa tinggi pengaruh penerapan pendekatan pemecahan masalah pada pembelajaran matematika terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas III SDN 16 Pontianak Kota. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 55 siswa, terdiri dari 27 siswa pada kelas kontrol dan 28 siswa pada kelas eksperimen. Hasil analisis data diperoleh rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol adalah 67,61 dan rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen adalah 80,57. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menerapkan pendekatan pemecahan masalah (kelas eksperimen) dengan yang menerapkan pendekatan ekspositori (kelas kontrol). Dari hasil perhitungan effect size (ES) diperoleh ES sebesar 0,81 (kriteria tinggi). Hal ini berarti penerapan pendekatan pemecahan masalah pada pembelajaran matematika memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas III SDN 16 Pontianak Kota.

Abstract: This research aims to analyze how high the effect of the application of problem-solving approach to teaching mathematics to the learning outcomes of students of class III SDN 16 Pontianak City. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design to study is a Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample was 55 students, consisting of 27 students in the control class and 28 students in the experimental class.  The results of the analysis of data obtained by the average post-test control class is 67,61 and the average post-test experimental class is 80,57. Concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes which apply problem-solving approach (experimental class) with the expository approach (control group). From the results perhitung effect size (ES) obtained ES of 0,81 (high criterion). This means the application of problem-solving approach to learning mathematics provide high impact on learning outcomes of class III SDN 16 Pontianak City.
