PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENDESKRIPSIKAN DENAH DENGAN DISKUSI KELOMPOK KELAS IV A SD GEMBALA BAIK I

Abstract


Improving students skill in describing place according to the map given for the Fourth Grade students of IV A Class in Gembala Baik 1 Elementary School. This research is conducted because the students of Class IV in Gembala Baik 1 Elementary School were inactive in speaking training which affected to the students skill in expressing their ideas orally. This problem can be solved by using group discussion technique. The problem of this research was, who is the plan, implementation and the speaking practice result which was done in order to improve the skill of Class IV A students of Gembala Baik 1 Elementary School in describing place orally according to the map given by using group discussion technique. This research is Classroom Action Research which consists of two cycles; each cycles covers planning stage, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result showed that after two cycles done, there was an improvement in students speaking skill.

Abstrak : Peningkatan keterampilan mendeskripsikan tempat sesuai dengan denah pada siswa kelas IV A SD Gembala Baik I Pontianak. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi kurang aktifnya siswa kelas IV A SD Gembala Baik I Pontianak berlatih berbicara yang berdampak pada ketidak mampuan mengungkapkan ide secara lisan. Hal ini diatasi dengan teknik diskusi kelompok. Masalah penelitian ini yaitu bagaimanakah perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil pembelajaran berbicara yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa kelas IV A SD Gembala Baik I Pontianak mendeskripsikan tempat sesuai dengan denah secara lisan dengan metode diskusi kelompok. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang meliputi dua siklus; masing-masing siklus mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa setelah siklus dua dilaksanakan ada peningkatan keterampilan berbicara pada siswa.
