Analisa Pengaruh Jumlah Mata Pisau Pada Mesin Pencacah Botol Plastik Tipe PET (Polyethylene Terephalate)

Abstract


One of the areas in Kubu Raya district, precisely in Ambawang sub-district, is an area that produces high plastic waste. Based on the survey results, the amount of plastic waste produced can reach ±1 ton per day. The amount of plastic waste is increasing, causing various problems, one of which is the large pile of plastic waste that is piled up and scattered around the road which results in disruption of road user traffic. Based on the problems that occur, an alternative solution is needed in a better plastic waste management system. One of these alternatives is by utilizing plastic waste enumeration technology. This chopping machine will process plastic bottle waste into raw materials and other production processes. In this study, a plastic bottle waste chopper machine will be designed that will overcome the problems that exist in the research location. The research method in analyzing the effect of the blade on the chopping results is done by reading the literature, observation and experimentally by varying the blade in order to obtain maximum results. Plastic bottles that are chopped with a predetermined number of blades with variations of blades 3:3, 3:4, 3:5, 4:4, 4:5, 5:5. The results obtained are the time and results of chopping a 3:3 blade with a capacity of 1 kg can be chopped in 6.50 minutes with a plastic size of 3-7 cm, a 3:4 blade with a capacity of 1 kg can be chopped in 5.20 minutes with a size result 2.5-6 cm, 3:5 blades with a capacity of 1 kg can be chopped in 4.55 minutes with a size of 2-5.5 cm, 4:4 blades with a capacity of 1 kg can be chopped in 4.40 minutes with a size of 1.5-5 cm , 4:5 blade with a capacity can be chopped in 4.30 minutes with a size of 1-4.5 cm and a 5:5 blade with a capacity of 1 kg can be chopped in 4 minutes with a size of 0.5-4 cm.
