Analisa Perbandingan Bahan Bakar Pertalite Dan Pertamax Terhadap Karakteristik Motor Honda Fit X NF 100 SE

Abstract


This study intended to find out the magnitude of the engine performance value produced from both types of fuel according to the characteristics possessed by the Honda Fit X NF 100 SE motorcycle in the form of effective power generated, fuel flow rate, specific fuel consumption (sfc), and thermal efficiency. The research method is by testing using Pertalite and Pertamax fuels with engine speed variations of 1000rpm, 1500rpm, and 2000rpm while providing variations in loading of 1kg, 2kg, and 3kg for each rotation variation. The results obtained from the test show that the effective shaft power produced is directly proportional to the fuel flow rate where Pertamax has an effective shaft power and fuel flow rate that is greater than Pertalite, but for specific fuel consumption Pertalite has a greater value than Pertalite. with Pertamax specific fuel consumption. Based on the data from the test, it is concluded that the average thermal efficiency value produced by Pertamax is slightly higher than the thermal efficiency produced by Pertalite, Pertamax has an average thermal efficiency value of 55% while the average thermal efficiency value produced by Pertalite is 54 %. From the 4 overall performance parameters measured, it indicates that Pertamax has 3 out of 4 benefits withinside the experiments which have been achieved at the traits of the Honda Fit X NF 100 SE, based on the effective shaft power generated, the specific fuel consumption, and the resulting of thermal efficiency. Meanwhile, Pertalite is superior in terms of fuel flow rate which has a smaller value than Pertamax.
