ANALISIS FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN SOSIAL PENYEBAB ANAK TIDAK MELANJUTKAN PENDIDIKAN KE SMP DI DESA SETALIK

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan pergaulan teman sebaya, dan lingkungan masyarakat sekitar. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah faktor lingkungan sosial apa sajakah yang menyebabkan anak tidak melanjutkan pendidikan ke SMP. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor lingkungan sosial  penyebab anak tidak melanjutkan pendidikan ke SMP di Desa Setalik Kecamatan Sejangkung Sambas. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Sedangkan alat pengumpulan data adalah pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan dokumentasi.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor lingkungan sosial yang kurang baik menyebabkan anak tidak melanjutkan pendidikan ke SMP di Desa Setalik Kecamatan Sejangkung Sambas. Hal ini tampak dari aspek lingkungan keluarga yaitu tingkat pendidikan dalam keluarga dan keadaan ekonomi keluarga; aspek lingkungan pergaulan teman sebaya yaitu pendidikan teman bergaul dan aktivitas dalam bergaul; sedangkan pada aspek lingkungan masyarakat sekitar yaitu pendidikan sekitar tempat tinggal dan keadaan lingkungan masyarakat sekitar. Dari beberapa sub aspek tersebut terlihat kurang baik sehingga menyebabkan anak tidak melanjutkan pendidikan ke SMP.

Abstract: This study was intended to analyze the family environment, social environment of peers, and surrounding communities. The problem in this research was the social environment what would be the factors that cause children did not continue their education to Junior High School level. The purpose of this study was to determine the cause of the child's social environment factors do not continue their education to junior high school in the Setalik village Sejangkung District of Sambas. The method used in this research was qualitative method. To collect the data, the researcher was used observation, interview, and documentation techniques.

The research findings showed that the worst social environment cause the students did not continue the education to Junior High School level in Setalik Village. It can be proved from the aspects of family environment that are the level of education and economical situation in the family; aspects of the social environment of peers like education of peers and activities done in the friendships; and the aspects of society environment such as the education of surrounding and the circumtances of the communities. It found that some of those sub-aspects was not good, so it caused the students do not continue their study to Junior High School level..
