PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MEMBERIKAN DORONGAN CINTA KASIH BAGI PENDIDIKAN ANAK
Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sikap peduli orang tua bagi pendidikan anak, sikap rela berkorban orang tua bagi pendidikan anak, dan perhatian orang tua terhadap pendidikan anak di Desa Semata Kecamatan Tangaran Kabupaten Sambas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik dan alat pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan informan sebanyak 10 orang yang terdiri dari 5 orang tua yang memiliki anak putus sekolah dan 5 orang anak putus sekolah. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan Peran orang tua dalam memberikan dorongan cinta kasih bagi pendidikan anak (Kasus Pada Anak Putus Sekolah Di Desa Semata Kecamatan Tangaran Kabupaten Sambas) masih kurang baik dalam arti masih belum mendukung anak dalam proses pemerolehan pendidikan. Hal ini terlihat dari sikap orang tua dalam penelitian ini sebagian besar menyerahkan proses pemerolehan pendidikan anak mereka kepada pihak sekolah sehingga orang tua kurang memperhatikan sikap yang harus dilakukan terhadap pendidikan anak.

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the caring attitudes of the parents to ward children's education, self-sacrifice attitudes of the parents for children's education, and the parent’ attention to ward children's education in Semata Village, Subdistrict of Tangaran at Sambas District. The method used is descriptive with techniques and tools of data collection are interview, observation, and documentary study. This study used 10 participants, consist of 5 parents who have drop out children and 5 drop out children. From the results of the research conducted, the role of parents in encouraging love for children's education (Drop out children Case inthe Semata Village Subdistrict of Tangaran at Sambas District) is still not good enough, in other word still yet to support the children in the process of acquiring education. This resulted from the attitude of the parents in this study mostly hand over the process of obtaining their child's education to the school, so that the parents pay less attention toward the attitude to be done for their children's education.
