PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA CROSSWORD PUZZLE CHEMISTRY (CROPCHEM) PADA MATERI STRUKTUR ATOM DI SMA

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan media crossword puzzle chemistry (CROPCHEM) dan perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media crossword puzzle chemistry (CROPCHEM) pada materi struktur atom kelas X SMA di Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan yang direkomendasikan Borg & Gall (1983). Hasil analisis data diperoleh tingkat kelayakan media sebesar 86,6% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Hasil belajar siswa dari tiga sekolah diperoleh dua dari tiga sekolah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa media crossword puzzle chemistry (CROPCHEM) sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media crossword puzzle chemistry (CROPCHEM).

Abstract: This study was to find the level of feasibility of crossword puzzle chemistry (CROPCHEM) media and difference in students’ achievement before and after the application of the crossword puzzle chemistry (CROPCHEM) media, on atomic structure material, class X SMA in Kabupaten Kubu Raya. The method of study was research and development with recommended development model by Borg & Gall (1983). Based on data analysis that obtained by 86.6% of media feasibility, refer to very high criterion. The result of students’ achievement of three schools in Kabupaten Kubu Raya shows that two out of three schools point out the significant differences in students’ achievement. The conclusion was made based on the result, that the crosswords puzzle chemistry (CROPCHEM) media is highly feasible to be applied in teaching and learning and there are significant differences in students’ achievement, before the application and after the application of crossword puzzle chemistry (CROPCHEM) media.
