Literacy reading progressivity at SMP Negeri 2 Palangka Raya in the form of a program is the background for researchers to see the extent of the narratives that appear both before and after reading activities. Indonesia is currently in a state of reading emergency, resulting in various multidisciplinary problems across events (hoaxes, latahs) which then extend to response inconsistencies. Indonesia is even among the countries whose literacy levels, especially reading, are far from adequate. We explore the research using the interview method. Previously, this qualitative research was in the stages of field observation, grouping constraints on each research subject, recording in audio form via a smartphone, then making interview transcripts, factual solids to analyzing the themes raised in the results and discussion. Results of the study showed the students' narratives that the program has been running consistently, despite the emergence of an atmosphere of boredom, boredom, and the stimulus of the emergence of technology that not only serves physical books, but also leads to the digitization of reading materials in the form of softcopies. We found that the texture of enjoyable reading is the texture that has illustrations of images to facilitate the process of analyzing the reading.
