PENGGUNAAN METODE DISKUSI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATERI FUNGSI RANGKA MANUSIA DAN PEMELIHARAANNYA

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is most result in students achievement in studying science subject in grade IV shows low achievment. Purpose of this research is to obtain a clarity in the application of discussion method to increase the students achievement in the material of Human Skleton Functions and its maintenance in studying science subject at grade IV of Elementary School Number 34 in South Pontianak. The reseach method is a descriptive method in from of class action reseach. The research procedure covers: planning, conducting, observation and reflection. The reseach finding show that the application disccusion method can increase the result of students studying in studying science subject at grade IV of Elemantary School Number 34 in South Pontianak. This is shows by evaluation score which has achieved the target of Minimum Accomplishment Criteria (KKM) that 60 in cycle I the average score is 64,73. In cycle II the increase is as much as 71,76. The increase in teachers performance in arranging and making the lisson plan (RPP) of Science subject, particulary in the grade IV can be seen from the scores of each component with the achievement from 67,65%. In cycle I, becomes as much as 94,11%. The increase in teachers performance in applying discussion method of Human Skeleton Functions and its maintenance can be shown by abtained score in each component which has increased from average score in cycle I as much as 65% to come 92,50%.

Abstrak: Latar belakang penelitian, bahwa sebagian besar hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV masih rendah. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh kejelasan penggunaan metode diskusi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi fungsi rangka manusia dan pemeliharaannya dalam pelajaran IPA di kelas IV SDN 34 Pontianak Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Prosedur penelitian mencakup: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi atau pengamatan dan refleksi. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa penggunaan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV SDN 34 Pontianak Selatan. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari nilai hasil evaluasi yang telah mencapai target KKM 60, yaitu pada siklus I nilai rata-rata sebesar 64,73, pada siklus II meningkat sebesar 71,76. Peningkatan kemampuan guru menyusun dan membuat RPP IPA, materi fungsi rangka manusia dan pemeliharaannya di kelas IV dapat dilihat dari skor yang diperoleh pada tiap-tiap komponen mengalami peningkatan dan Siklus I dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 67,65%, dan meningkat pada Siklus II menjadi 94,11%. Peningkatan keterampilan guru menerapkan metode diskusi fungsi rangka manusia dan pemeliharaanya dapat dilihat dari skor yang diperoleh pada tiap-tiap komponen mengalami peningkatan dari skor rata-rata Siklus I sebesar 65% meningkat pada Siklus II menjadi 92,50%.
