PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MENGGUNAKAN METODE PEMECAHAN MASALAH DI KELAS V SD

Abstract


Abstrak: Masalah pada penelitian ini adalah usaha untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik melalui metode pemecahan masalah pada pelajaran Matematika kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 3 Siantan. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, bentuk penelitian yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), dan sifat penelitian bersifat kolaboratif, subjek penelitian yaitu guru dan peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 3 Siantan yang berjumlah 21 orang. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi langsung, teknik dokumenter, dan alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan observasi melalui metode pemecahan masalah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan penerapan metode pemecahan masalah pada pelajaran matematika di kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 3 Siantan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik, diterima.

Abstract: The problem in this research is an attempt to improve the learners' learning activities by using problem solving methods in mathematic subjects at the fifth grade students in the Elementary School 3 Siantan. This research method is descriptive, in classroom action research, and the nature of this research is qualitative research, the research subjects are teacher and learners elementary school fifth grade students in the Elementary School 3 Siantan which consisted of 21 people in whole. The techniques used in this research were the technique of direct observation, documentary technique, and data collection tool were used as observation guidelines. The result based on observation by using problem solving methods had improved learners learning activities. This shows that the hypothesis that stated the application of problem solving methods in mathematic lessons at the fifth grade in the  Elementary School 3 Siantan can improve learners' learning activities, accepted.
