EFEKTIVITAS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN OUTDOOR STUDY DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS KELAS VIII MTS NEGERI 1 MEMPAWAH HILIR

Abstract


This study intends to determine the effectiveness of the outdoor study learning model on social studies learning outcomes for class
VIII students of MTS Negeri 1 Mempawah Hilir. Researchers used
a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach. A total of
29 students from class VIII B and 35 students from class VIII C
participated in this study. Assessment techniques and documentary
studies were used to collect data information and multiple choice
objective tests as research instruments. Data analysis resulted that
the posttest score of the experimental class was 86.38 while the
posttest value of the control class was 73.29, the difference was
13.09. This shows that there is a significant comparison between the
two data. The results of the pretest and posttest in the experimental
class and in the control class were not normally distributed, with a
value of 0.000, according to the data normality test. Finally, it was
continued using the Wilcoxon hypothesis test and calculated to give
a value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is
rejected. Therefore, this outdoor study learning model is valid and
effective. In addition, the final result of the effect size test has a value
of 0.85 > 0.8 so it is in the high category. The purpose of this finding
is to explain that the outdoor study model is effective in improving
social studies learning outcomes for class VIII students of MTS
Negeri 1 Mempawah Hilir in the high category)
