ANALISIS NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PADA NOVEL MADRASAH GEMURUH OMBAK KARYA ARINI HIDAJATI

Abstract

Character is a person’s attitude in behavior patterns in everyday life. A person’s character is influenced by environmental factors and innate factors. To answer the challenge of character transformation, character education is needed. The purpose of this character education is to develop one’s ability to make good and bad decisions, maintain the good side, and achieve them wholeheartedly in everyday life. The cultivation of character values is carried out through various media, one of which is through literary works, namely novels. In the novel Madrasah Gemuruh Ombak by Arini Hidajati which is studied there are values of character education, namely religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation and integrity. This study uses a descriptive method for qualitative research. The data analyzed in this study are the values of character education in the form of words, phrases, sentences and related events in the novel Madrasah Gemuruh Ombak by Arini Hidajati, namely religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity. The results of this study can be used as a reference for learning Indonesian in the form of novel material.
