PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL TERHADAP PEMEROLEHAN BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual terhadap pemerolehan belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 18 Pontianak Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV B yang berjumlah 32 orang dan kelas IV C yang berjumlah 34 orang. Hasil analisis data, diperoleh rata–rata posttest pada kelas ekperimen diperoleh sebesar 82,94 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 68,91. Hasil perhitungan effect size data pemerolehan belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh sebesar  diklasifikasikan dalam kategori tinggi, yang berarti bahwa penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap pemerolehan belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 18 Pontianak Barat.

Abstract: This research aimed to analyze the influence of contextual learning approach towards the learning acquisition of fourth grade students in Social Sciences subject of elementary school number 18 West Pontianak. The method of research used was quasi experimental with non equivalent control group design. The samples of this research were fourth grade students in the class B that consist of 32 students and class C that consist of 34 students. The results of data analysis showed that the mean of posttest in experimental class was 82,94 while in control of class was 68,91. Moreover, the effect size of the achievements of students  in experimental class and control class was 1.31 which was classified as high category. This meant that the use of contextual learning approach provides a high influence towards  the achiemevents of fourth grade students in Social Science subjects of elementary school number 18 West Pontianak.
