UPAYA GURU DALAM MENGATASI KESULITAN BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS KELAS VIII D SMP NEGERI 3 SUNGAI AMBAWANG KABUPATEN KUBURAYA

Abstract


This study aims to determine the teacher's efforts in overcoming the learning difficulties of students in class VIII D of SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Ambawang, Kubu Raya Regency. The research method uses a qualitative approach with the type of descriptive research. Primary data sources are social studies teachers and class VIII D students of SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Ambawang with a total of five sources. The source of data in this research is secondary data. Collecting data using observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are (1) The learning difficulties of students in social studies subjects in class VIII D of SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Ambawang are difficulties in reading maps, for example, not understanding the cardinal directions on the map, difficulties in expressing opinions in front of the class both when the teacher asks questions and when the teacher asks questions. when getting presentation assignments in front of the class, and difficulty in rewriting concepts from the material that has been studied. (2) Efforts made by teachers to students are by using map media and using remedial learning programs, this program is implemented to help students to be able to achieve learning success and to overcome all factors that cause difficulties in learning, especially in social studies subjects.
