IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN BERBASIS MULTIKULTURAL SEBAGAI PENGUATAN NILAI KARAKTER TOLERANSI BERAGAMA PADA ANAK USIA DINI DI TK GLOBAL MAJU KHATULISTIWA DI TK GLOBAL MAJU KHATULISTIWA

Abstract


This study aims to describe the implementation of multicultural-based education as an effort to strengthen the character values of religious tolerance in early childhood in Global Maju Khatulistiwa Kindergarden. The research method used is a subjects in the study were the head of the kindergarden and the class teacher at Global Maju Khatulistiwa Kindergarden. Data collection techniques used in the study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that multicultural education in religious tolerance goes through there aspects, namely: (1) aspects of peace include indicators of caring, fearlessness, and love, (2) aspects of respecting differences and individuals include indicators of mutual respect for each other, respecting the differences of others, and respecting each other self, and (3) awareness aspects include indicatorsof respecting the goodness of others, being open, receptive, comfortable in life, and comfortable with others, in designing plans, implementing implementation, and evaluating children’s learning outcomes. Teacher further improve self-quality in multicultural-based education so that children love differences with one another.
