KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATERI PECAHAN DI SMP
Abstract
Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. Rumusan masalahnya adalah “Bagaimanakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi pecahan di kelas VIII A SMP Rehoboth Reformasi Bengkayang”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik pengukuran dan komunikasi langsung. Instrumen penelitian berbentuk tes cerita terdiri dari soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan komunikasi matematis dilengkapi dengan pedoman wawancara. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII A SMP Rehoboth Reformasi Bengkayang terdiri dari 33 siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh rata-rata persentase skor kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sebesar 33,27% dan rata-rata persentase skor kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sebesar 44,04% termasuk dalam kategori kemampuan sangat kurang.

Abstract : This research describe the ability of problem solving and mathematiccommunication the student in solve story test. The formulation of the problem is “ How can the ability of problem solving and mathemtic communication the student in solve story test about fraction of the material in class VIII A Rehoboth Reformasi School. This research using desciptive methods with survey research form. Technic collection the file used are measurement technic and direct communication. Research instrument the story test about problem solving and mathematic communication are equiped with a guidance interview. The samples is student of class VIII A Rehoboth Reformasi School consist of 33 student. Based on the analysis of file, the ability of problem solving obtained the average percentage scores of student is 33,27 % and the ability of mathematic communication obtained the average percentage scores of student is 44,04 % which are included in the very less category. From the file looks the average percentage scores the ability of mathematic communication more than the average percentage scores the ability of problem solving.
