PERAN GURU DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN MOTORIK KASAR ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN DI PAUD PERMATA AMPERA PONTIANAK

Abstract


This study aims to describe the role of teachers as motivators, facilitators, and evaluators in developing gross motor skills for children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Permata Ampera Pontianak. The method is descriptive with a qualitative approach using observation, interview, and documentation. Data sources for this study amounted to 2 teachers. Results of the study on the role of the teacher as a motivator in developing gross motor skills for children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Permata Ampera Pontianak to provide positive support to each child in the form of praise and rewards that children are more active in achieving achievements. As a facilitator, the teacher provides various game media facilities for children to carry out playing activities learning, become partners in playing and help children in the learning process, as well as trying to create a fun environment for children to be excited about gross motor development activities. As an evaluator, the teacher makes careful observations accompanied by noting. The assessment process documented in the form of anecdotal notes, performance results, and checklist assessment sheets. It is concluded that the role of the teacher as a motivator, facilitator and evaluator in developing gross motor skills for children aged 5-6 years is very well done.
