ADAPTASI PEMBINAAN OLEH PENGAWAS UPT DINAS PENDIDIKAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI SOSIAL GURU SEKOLAH DASAR DI WILAYAH PERBATASAN

Abstract


Abstract: This research aims to analyze the coaching is done by the Unit Supervisor Department of Education in improving the social competence of elementary school teachers in the border region in Sub Sajingan Besar, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan Province . The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive form. Informants of this research consist of 5 people, consisting of; Supervisor kindergarten / elementary school and Head of Unit Department of Education at Sajingan Besar sub district, 2 School Head and 1 Class Teacher. Based on interviews and observations found that in implementing coaching to improve the social competence of teachers, supervisors gave various suggestions, appeals and warnings at the time of formation programs in elementary schools. The existence of obstacles in border areas such as access roads were damaged, a tough cellular communication network, individual differences in the character of the teachers, and the community with cultural differences, demanding supervisors and teachers to do the adaptation.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis adaptasi pembinaan yang dilakukan oleh Pengawas UPT Dinas Pendidikan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi sosial guru sekolah dasar di wilayah perbatasan di Kecamatan Sajingan Besar Kab. Sambas Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan bentuk deskriptif. Informan penelitian ini berjumlah 5 orang, terdiri dari; Pengawas TK/SD dan Kepala UPT Dinas Pendidikan Kec. Sajingan Besar, 2 orang Kepala Sekolah dan 1 Guru Kelas. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi ditemukan bahwa dalam melaksanakan pembinaan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi sosial guru, pengawas memberikan berbagai saran, himbauan, dan peringatan yang disampaikan pada saat melakukan program pembinaan di sekolah binaannya. Adanya hambatan di wilayah perbatasan seperti akses jalan yang rusak, jaringan komunikasi seluler yang sulit, perbedaan karakter individu guru, dan perbedaan kultur masyarakat, menuntut pengawas dan guru untuk melakukan adaptasi.
