ANALISIS TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN SOSIAL EKONOMI KELUARGA DI KELURAHAN BENUA MELAYU LAUT (Studi Kasus pada Keluarga RT 001-003 RW 006-009 Pontianak)
Abstract
This research was conducted in the Benua Melayu Laut Village, Pontianak City. This study aims to knowing educational stage, socioeconomic description of the family, and parents with different educational stage trying to improve the socioeconomic family. The research approach used is qualitative research with the type of case studies. Sources of data in this study were informants consisting of 8 wives from 8 families, as well as other relevant documents. Data were collected using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the dominant of education stage was primary to secondary education. Socioeconomic conditions seen from 6 indicators, namely age classified as productive age, type of work classified as medium status, income earned classified as moderate to high income, the dominant number of dependents is 4 dependents where the more the number of dependents in the family the more income is needed, and the ownership of wealth or facilities is seen from the status of house, type of house, and the size of house occupied. Parents with different educational stage strive to improve the socioeconomic status of the family by means of intense communication about their children's education, and work diligently to meet the needs and facilitate their children's education. In addition, the efforts made are interacting with the surrounding community to stay in touch and tolerate each other.
