The total population participating in this study were sixteen students. With pre-experimental design, this study tried to investigate whether the use of Pictionary game has a positive effect on students' vocabulary or not. It was found that through the process of using Pictionary game, students participated in the learning process actively and have a better vocabulary achievement that can be observed directly from the results of the treatment, that is students can significantly outperform the results of the pre-test after the Pictionary game is applied. In addition, this technique also helps increase students' interest in vocabulary learning which is indicated by their positive response by asking whether they have guessed the vocabulary correctly or not. Data was collected using pre-test and post-test, then continued with data analysis using the t-test formula and SPSS 22. The result of t-test computation at the level of significance of 0.025 with degree of freedom 14 = 2.50 and then the t-value was 2.87 which was higher than the t-table (2.50). Therefore, Pictionary games can help students retain new vocabulary, can help associate new information with their environment and can help develop their communicative skills.
