PENERAPAN MODEL PBL DENGAN MEDIA TIKTOK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS TEKS PIDATO PERSUASIF KELAS IX
Abstract
This study aims to improve the skills of writing persuasive speech texts for class IX C students of SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. The method used is a class action method with a qualitative descriptive research form. The research subjects were 34 students in class IX C. The data obtained is the result of the skills of writing persuasive speeches compiled by students by applying the PBL or problem-based learning model with TikTok media. The results of the analysis are APKG 1, APKG 2, and the results of the activities of writing persuasive speeches. The action in this study was carried out in two cycles with two meetings. The results of the skills of writing persuasive speech texts using the PBL model with TikTok media in the first cycle were 67.6 and the second cycle was 76.2. The results of the acquisition increased by 8.6, while from the pre-action activities the average score was 55.3. This increase is because students are able to follow the learning process well and orderly and their understanding of writing is getting better, while in pre-action, students still do not understand the structure and language of persuasive speech texts well. In addition, class conditions are not conducive to effective learning. From these weaknesses, the writing skills of previous students are still below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). After applying the model and media, it is easier for students to understand writing and able to process words in writing persuasive speech texts.
