PENGARUH MOTIVASI BELAJAR, LATAR BELAKANG SOSIAL EKONOMI ORANG TUA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS EKONOMI

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah pengaruh motivasi belajar siswa dan latar belakang status sosial ekonomi orang tua siswa terhadap terhadap hasil belajar IPS Ekonomi siswa kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Lumar Kabupaten Bengkayang, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif serta pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Lumar Kabupaten Bengkayang yang berjumlah 70 orang siswa tahun ajaran 2012/2013, dan seluruhnya menjadi sampel penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah : Teknik observasi langsung; teknik komunikasi langsung; teknik komunikasi tidak langsung, dan teknik studi dokumenter. Alat untuk pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah : Pedoman interview; kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian statistik Multiple regresi terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan motivasi belajar siswa dan latar belakang status sosial ekonomi orang tua siswa terhadap hasil belajar IPS Ekonomi siswa kelas VIII SMP baik secara simultan maupun secara parsial dengan probabilitas signifikansi semuanya lebih kecil dari ? 0,05.

ABSTRACT : The problem in this research is the influence of students' motivation and background of socio-economic status of parents on the IPS learning outcomes economy class VIII student of SMP. This research was conducted at the District 1 Junior High School Lumar Bengkayang , using descriptive and quantitative approaches . Total population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Subdistrict Lumar Bengkayang numbering 70 students of the school year 2012/2013 , and the full study sample . Tools used for data collection are : Guidelines for the interview ; questionnaires and documentation . Based on the results of multiple regression statistical tests are positive and significant influence students' motivation and background of socio-economic status of parents on learning outcomes Economic IPS of students of class VIII SMP either simultaneously or partially with significance probabilities are all less than 0.05 ? .
