Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of sociology teachers in developing the honest character of class X students at SMA Harapan Bangsa Samalantan, Bengkayang Regency. Specifically, it explains how sociology teachers play a role in developing the honest character of class X students at SMA Harapan Bangsa Samalantan. With indicators a teacher as an educator is an educator who becomes a figure, role model, and identification for students, and the environment. Therefore, teachers must have certain personal qualities, which include responsibility, discipline. The role of the teacher as a supervisor is that the teacher must clearly formulate goals, establish a lesson, and assess its smoothness according to the needs and abilities of students. Guiding students to get used to being honest in all things, such as being honest in doing school assignments, being honest in acting, the teacher as a mentor playing a role in monitoring and directing students so that they can develop personally according to their honest potential.
