PEMANFAATAN MEDIA VIDEO DALAM PROSES PEMBELAJARAN IPS KELAS VIIIB SMP NEGERI 4 SUNGAI RAYA

Abstract


Abstract

This study aims to determine student’s responses and understanding in the
social studies learning process using video media. This study is a descriptive
study of clss VIIIB

students at SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. The approach used in
this research is qualitative. Soirces of data used are primary and secondary
data sources. ;rimary data sources include two teachers og social studies
subjects and five students of class VIIIB

, while secondary data sources include
field documentation and archived documents. Teachniques of data collection
used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The tools of data
collection used were a photo camera and a voice recorder. The results showed
that 72 percent of students gave positive feedback to learning by using video
media, while the remaining 28 percent gave of feedback. In addition, the
students understood the learning material delivered through videos well, seen
from the active reciprocity between teachers and students during the learning
process.
