Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cooperation, accommodation, and competition
between class VIII A students at SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya Regency. This
study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects of this study
were ten students who represented each discussion group. Data collection techniques
used are data reduction, data display, conclusion and verification. The results of this
tudy are as follows; (1) Cooperation in groups is showed by the division of tasks,
communication between group members, and mutual respect for the contributions of
each member. Related to responsibility fulfillment, however, some members did not
carry out their duties, and some members roamed the class. It caused the completion of
the task to be late. (2) accommodation occurredin the form of tolerance, indicated by
the presence of groups of heterogeneous students with different backgrounds, mutual
respect, and polite words. If there is a conflict, then compromise and mutual agreement
are made to resolve the problems. (3) competition between individuals appeared in the
efforts of each student to be enthusiastic about contributing and expressing their
knowledge. However, the competitiveness between groups was low as there were still
groups that used internet assistance to make it easier to complete tasks.
