PEMBELAJARAN DRUM DI PURWA CARAKA MUSIC STUDIO PONTIANAK

Abstract

Music school or music course institutions greatly affect the formation of one's skills in playing drums. Purwa caraka is a non-formal music school in Indonesia that has made many professional drummers. the problems studied are how the learning process, curriculum, and factors that influence success in the Purwa Caraka. The purpose of this study was to determine how the learning process, curriculum, and the factors that affect the success of learning.the theoretical basis in this study contains the notion of learning, understanding of the learning process, understanding of curriculum, learning drum and drum, and the factors that influence the learning process.The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The techniques to collect data in this study are observation, inteview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that this research that was used in drum learning in Purwa Caraka music studio was an interactive method, demonstration, drill or drill, and assignment method. The material given is to recognize the parts of the drum, sitting position, how to hold the stick, the introduction of drum notation, basic beat, fill in, rudiment, rhythm style, and rhythm variations. learning evaluation is carried out every 1-2 years on grade improvement.
