Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between critical thinking skills and student achievement in the subject of financial accounting cycle class XI Accounting 2 at SMK Negeri 1 Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive in the form of quantitative research. The data sample in this study was class XI AK 2 with a total of 38 students. The method of collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation and the data collection tool used was a questionnaire, while the data analysis technique used the product moment correlation of the SPSS program. The results showed that there was a relationship between critical thinking skills and student achievement in financial accounting cycle subjects for class XI AK 2 at SMK Negeri 1 Pontianak. This is indicated by a value of 0.918 greater than 0.05, which has a very strong level of relationship.
