Abstract

This study aims to determine what ethnic cultures exist in the Dusun Beringin community, how ethnic culture can create community togetherness in Dusun Beringin and obstacles in creating the togetherness of the people of Dusun Beringin. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The data sources of this research are the people in Dusun Beringin and the Head of Dusun Beringin. Data collection uses interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are seven ethnic groups in Dusun Beringin, namely ethnic Malays, Bugis, Chinese, Javanese, Balinese, Madurese, and Dayak, ethnic culture can create community togetherness by strengthening the relationship between communities and it is entertaining and eating together and obstacles in the implementation of ethnic cultural activities are riots when there are activities that invite a large number of people, such as at the Kuda Lumping event and at the time this is the Covid -19 pandemic.
