EFFORT IN IMPROVING BADMINTON SMASH ABILITY THROUGH AUDIOVISUAL MEDIA AMONGST STUDENTS OF SMP NEGERI 6 PONTIANAK.

Abstract
The problem in this study was to know how the effort in improving badminton smash ability through audiovisual media amongst students of SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak. The purpose of this study was to know the difficulties and to help the students of SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak in practicing the smash basic movement in the proper ways. In particular, the purpose that wants to achieve in this research is to know how far the improvement of basic movement process after using audiovisual media. The form of research design used in this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The population of this research was students of class VIII F with a number of 29 consisted of 16 females and 13 males. Techniques of data analysis used were observation and work performance tests namely doing practicing badminton smash, after that the test results will be graded. From the execution of cycle 1 and the results, there are 13 students reached the passing grade (45%) and 16 students failed to reach the passing grade (75%), followed by the execution of cycle 2 and the results increased with 23 students reached the passing grade (79%) and 6 students failed to reach the passing grade (21%). With the results, it can be concluded that there is an increase of badminton smash learning ability through audiovisual media amongst VIII F students of SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak with an increase of (34%).
