PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMAINKAN ALAT MUSIK TRADISIONAL BERUAS MELALUI METODE DEMONSTRASI
Abstract
Abstract The background of this research was the lack of students's ability to play traditional musical instrument beruas in SMP NEGERI 16 Pontianak. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation and learning outcomes of playing a traditional musical instrument beruas with a demonstration method. The method used in this research was descriptive analysis method with a qualitative form. Sources of data in this research were students who took offline learning.The Data were also obtained using the learning implementation observation format, student's activity notes, performance assessment formats (play beruas), field note formats, and lesson plan assessment formats. This research procedure consisted of planning, implementing the action, observing, and reflecting. This research was conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle students were taught how to play basic punches and simple patterns. In second cycle students were taught how to play the zapin pattern and practice the harmony and cohesiveness of the punches in the group. Initially this research only wanted to obtain data on the ability of students to play traditional musical instruments beruas, in fact the students had an appreciative and enthusiastic attitude during learning so that the students' abilities and interest in traditional music increased from an average score of 73 in cycle I to 82, 8 in cycle II.
