Abstract

The general problem of the study began with the observation, that was still had errors occurred during the swimming training process such as force movements while sliding, leg movements, breathing methods, hand stroke and coordination of movements that were still not. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of assistive devices on Chest Style Swimming Skills of Physical Education Students in 2019. This research method used experimental research, specifically preexperimental design. The instrument used in the study was to use a Chest Style Swimming Skills Test. The sampling technique of the research was the saturation sampling technique. The results of the study indicated that there was the effect of aids on Chest Style Swimming Skills of Physical Education Students in 2019. This can be proved by the results of the influence test (t-test), which obtained an average pre-test value of 47.30 and an average post-test value of 63.38. t arithmetic (25.74)> table (1.67655), with a value of the percentage of influence of 31.76%, which showed the hypothesis was relatively acceptable. Thus, it can be concluded there was the effect of aids on Chest Style Swimming Skills of Physical Education Students in 2019.
