Abstract


Abstract The research was motivated by the low interest in writing and motivation in learning to write film review texts in class VIII C students of SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya. Problem formulation, use of the Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy in the learning process and student learning outcomes. The aim of improving students' skills in writing short film reviews. research benefits for researchers, teachers, students and schools. The research method is descriptive method of classroom action research. The data sources were teachers and students of class VIIIC. Data in the form of RPP documents, and student writing results. Observation data techniques, documentation, and instrumentation. Research results have increased in each process. Skills to write short film reviews of students seen from the limit (KKM), namely 73. The results showed the TTW strategy can improve the writing skills of class VIII C students. The improvement can be seen from the quality of the learning process, namely attention, timeliness of collecting assignments. Product improvement can be seen from the average value of pre-action writing skills, the average value of class skills obtained is 44.51, then in the first cycle it increases to 68.24. project cycle II increased to 78.37.
