ANALISIS STRUKTUR DAN KAIDAH KEBAHASAAN TEKS EKSPLANASI SISWA KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 4 PONTIANAK TAHUN AJARAN 2020/2021

Abstract


Abstract This study aims to describe the results of the analysis of explanatory text for class XI students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak for the 2020/2021 academic year based on aspects of structure, language rules, and language errors. This research method is a descriptive method with simple qualitative and quantitative research forms. The technique used is the document technique. The data source of this research were 38 students of class XI with data collection tools in the form of items. Based on the results of the analysis from the structural aspect as many as 20 students made essays with very good assessment criteria, from the aspect of linguistic principles 26 students made essays with very good assessment criteria, from the aspect of language errors as many as 20 students got good assessment criteria. Based on the results of the study, the suggestion given was that the Indonesian teacher trained students in writing explanatory text, namely providing modeling and revising the essays made, so that the students' writing was in accordance with the provisions of writing explanatory text. It is recommended that the next researcher examines the object of writing by paying attention to language errors according to Indonesian spelling.
