PERAN GURU DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KREATIVITAS ANAK USIA 5 –6 TAHUN KELOMPOK B3 DI TK ISLAM HARAPAN INDAH KOTA PONTIANAK

Abstract


Abstract This study ed to describe the role of teachers in developing children's creativity at the age of 5 - 6 years. Group B3 in Harapan Indah Islamic Kindergarten (TK), Pontianak City. The research method used was qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation techniques with observation sheet tools, interview techniques with interview sheet tools, and documentary techniques with documentation tools. The data source consisted of teachers. The results showed that out of 22 children there were 8 children aged 5-6 years. The group had good creativity, but the other 14 children had not been able to develop their creativity properly. Thus, teachers who teach children aged 5 - 6 years Group B3 have not played an effective role in developing children's creativity, namely (1) the teacher was still unable to create a pleasant learning atmosphere because the teacher uses learning methods that are non-varied and monotonous, (2) the teacher did not play a role in creating learning while playing, (3) the teacher did not played a role in integrating learning with child development, especially related to learning that is oriented towards each individual child and the child's sociocultural context, and (4) the teacher did not played a role in creating learning in a real context because the teacher in teaching in the classroom was more focused on using worksheets without using props.
