Abstract


Abstract This research is motivated by the lack of understanding of concepts and procedural fluency of students in length measurement unit material. During the learning process researchers conducted the stages of learning the Pattern Recognition strategy to be able to improve conceptual understanding and procedural fluency of students in length measurement units. The research in class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Sadaniang. Based on the results of the pre-test and post test, there were differences in the average scores of students conceptual understanding and procedural fluency, namely 6.85 and 63.62. The results of statistical calculations using the t-test tcount (1.73)>ttable (1.69). Effect Size obtained conceptual understanding of 5.54 and procedural fluency of 3.45 classified in the criteria of large / high. Its has a great influence on the length measurement unit.
