Abstract


the process of livelihoods acculturation, language, and arts that occur between local resident and transmigrant resident in Capkala Village, Bengkayang District. The research approach used qualitative approach with descriptive approach method. The data collection techniques used observation, interview, and documentation study. The analysis in this study was presented in descriptive qualitative manner with eight informant, consist of two village officer, three local community member, and three transmigrant community member of the Trans Satuan Pemukiman 1 Capkala. The results of the study indicated that: 1) The process of livelihoods acculturation that occurred between local resident and transmigrant resident in Capkala Village Bengkayang District where, both of the community simultaneously work as oil palm laborer. In addition, to their respective livelihoods by farming and gardening. 2) The language acculturation process that occurred between the local resident and the transmigrant resident in the Capkala Village Bengkayang District, both of the community using mixed language as a communication to interacting directly and understand each other with the intentions conveyed and understand the words spoken, and 3) There was no collaborations between local resident and transmigration resident, or there is no aculturation process between local resident and transmigrant.
