Abstract


ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of teacher creativity on student motivation in economics at SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak. The method used was a quantitative method which is first carried out by testing the validity and reliability of the research, then doing the normality test, linearity test, homogeneity test, simple linear regression test and hypothesis testing. From the results of data normality testing that has been carried out, both the X variable or the Y variable were truly normally distributed. From a simple linear regression analysis, namely Y = 30.912 + 0.367X, this was a change in the decrease or increase of 1 unit in teacher creativity (variable X) or constant (30.912), it will be followed by an average change of 0.367 in student learning motivation ( variable Y). Meanwhile, hypothesis testing was based on the calculation of the correlation coefficient r2 = 0.459 and the coefficient of determination r2 = 0.211 or 2.11%. Based on the research results, that teacher creativity had a significant effect on students' learning motivation. This is tested by the acceptance of the results of the hypothesis testing conducted by the researcher. Therefore, to be able to increase the learning motivation of students, the teacher must be able to increase renewal in teaching or increase the learning potential of students properly.
