Abstract


ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine the effect of the authority of teachers to discipline students in class XI Otp 2 SMK 1 Pontianak City. The method used in this research was descriptive and quantitative research form. Samples in this study were students of class XI Otp 2 totaling 35 people with data collection techniques used were questionnaires and direct observation. The results showed that the level of authority of the teacher in SMK 1 Pontianak City is high with the average value of percentage of 88.8%, with a percentage breakdown of which can be from each indicator is the teacher gives examples of good behavior to students with value 94%. disciplined teacher in carrying out the task with value 85%. Teachers have a strong character and a good intelligence with value 85.7%. As for the level of discipline of students in class XI Otp 2 was quite high with the average percentage with value 79,%, with the percentage obtained details of each indicator is 87.7% adhere to the school rules. Diligent and regularly learn with value 77.4%. Complete the task in accordance with the time with value 82,1%. Set the time to learn with value 70.7%. The results of subsequent studies showed that in this study were obtained from the value of r_ (count) 2,139> 1,690 r_tabel. with the conclusion that there was a significant influence of the authority of teachers to discipline a student.
