Abstract

The aimed of this study were to find out how the thematic learning design with the application of scientific approach in fifth grade students of SDN 29 Pontianak Kota and How to thematic learning with the application of scientific approach in fifth grade students of SDN 29 Pontianak Kota. This research was a Qualitative Descriptive Research conducted with the aim of describing the application and Thematic Learning with the Scientific Approach of the Theme of Saving Sentient Beings of fifth grade students of SDN 29 Pontianak Kota. The subjects of this study were students and teacher of fifth grade students at SDN 29 Pontianak Kota. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets, interviews and documentation. From the result of data collection with observation sheets, it is known that SDN 29 Pontianak Kota students have applied a scientific approach to the thematic learning process in accordance with the steps of the scientific approach, it can be seen from students who have been able to apply the 5 scientific steps namely observing, asking, reasoning, trying and communicating/ networking well. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application.
