PENERAPAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING PADA PEMBELAJARAN GEOGRAFI TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA

The study aims to find out how the application of snowball throwing types of cooperative models to study geography with the results of the class X IPS SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak. The research method used was an quasi experiment design with a quantitative form. The sample in the study was an X IPS 3 and X IPS 4 and the data obtained was the value of students learning about lithosphere dynamics with an exogenous energy sub and its effect on life. Based on the results, the average value of the experiment class was 76.50 with the student completed KKM by 65.65% while the control class average was 69.81 with the student completed KKM by 38.74%. Based on the results of using independent-sample t-test gained significant value 0.013 < 0.05 therefore Ha received and Ho rejected. So it may be noted that there was a difference in application of snowball throwing types of cooperative models in geography study of the students studying at SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak. On account of the formulating of effect size, a value of 0.62 was obtained and could be argued that the influence medium of snowball throwing type of cooperative learning model was moderate.
