Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of cooperative learning models in thematic learning in grade V. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the preparation of learning tools by the teacher was reviewing the teachers book, compiling the design of the implementation of learning that outlines the steps of cooperative learning activities, determine the type of cooperative learning model, prepare material and learning media. The teacher has implemented learning using cooperative learning models that are appropriate to the phases in cooperative learning that is : present goals and set, present information, organize students into learning teams, assist team work and study, test on the materials, and provide recognition. Student learning outcomes using the model of cooperative learning in grade V obtain learning outcomes with a very good category that is at the first meeting with an average of 81,5, the second meeting with an average of 80, the third meeting with an average of 81,1, the fourth meeting with an average of 80,7, the fifth meeting with an average of 84, and the sixth meeting with an average of 85. Student responses to the cooperative learning models in grade V show very good categories.
