PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENYIMAK MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA AUDIO DI KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


Abstract This study aims to describe the use of audience media to improve student’s listening skills in class fifth grade of goverment primary schools 50 in south singkawang. The form of reseacrh with the nature of collabotarive research. The data source of this reseacrh is for 24 students of VA class and the data are the teacher’s ability to prepare lesson plans, the teacher’s ability to carry out learning, and the assessment of listening skills and the result of interviews with collaborator teachers. The data collection techniques and tools used in this study are observation and scrutiny of documents. Data collection tools used in the form of observation sheets and learning outcomes. Data analysis technique used is to calculate the average and percentage. This research was carried out as much three cycles and each cycle consists of two meeting with an outcome obtained is 1) the ability of teachers to prepare learning plans strating from the first cycle is 2,36, the second cycle is 2,64, and the third cycle is 3,24; 2) ability the teacher carries out learning starting from the first cycle which is 2,21, second cycle is 2,71, and the third cycle is 3,49; 3) listening skiils assessement starts from first cycle was 63,34%, second cycle was 68,54%, and third cycle was 85,19%. From data obtained shows that by using student’s audio media can improve listening skills in class V of goverment primary school 50 in south singkawang.
