PENGARUH PRAKTIKUM MELALUI TEKNIK POE TERHADAP SIKAP ILMIAH PADA MATERI MEKANISME TRANSPOR DI SMA

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' scientific attitude by using practicum POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) technique on sub-material transport mechanism through plasma membrane in class XI MIA SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa Kubu Raya. This form of research is True-Experimental Design with Posttest Only Control design. The population in this study is class XI MIA consisting of 2 classes. The sample of the research was taken by using saturated sample technique. From the sampling results obtained class XI MIA 1 and class XI MIA 2. The instrument used in the form of observation sheet of scientific attitude. From the research result, the average score of scientific attitude of experiment class student is 18,93, while control class is 16,90. Based on U-Mann Whitney test obtained Z count < Z table that is equal to -4,94 < -1,96 which means there is difference of scientific attitude taught by practicum through technique POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) with lesson which applied by school teacher. From Effect Size calculation, practicum through POE technique (Predict-Observe-Explain) contributed 44.52% to students' scientific attitude. Students' scientific attitude analysis, the percentage of score in grade XI MIA 1 was 89,72% with very good category, and in class XI MIA 2 was 77,69% with good category.
