PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN PROSES UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS KARANGAN NARASI SISWA KELAS V SDN 17

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' narrative essay writing skills by applying a process approach. The research subjects were teachers and students of class V A, which amounted to 23 consisting of 11 men and 12 women. The technique of collecting data is in the form of observations and documents. Data analysis techniques by means of qualitative descriptive analysis are used to analyze data in the form of descriptions with simple calculations, and the presentation of average and percentage data is then changed in the form of tables and graphs. The results showed the first cycle, the average value of 58.56 students experienced an increase in the second cycle to 68.41 and increased in the third cycle to 77.40. The percentage of completeness in the first cycle was 34.78%, increasing in the second cycle to 60.86% and experiencing an increase in the third cycle to 86.95%. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the process approach can improve narrative essays writing skills of class V A students in 17 Sungai Raya Elementary School.
