EFEKTIVITAS PENERAPAN MODEL PROBING PROMPTING BERBANTUAN VIDEO DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASILBELAJAR SISWA MAN 1 PONTIANAK

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the forwarding of probing prompting learning models assisted by video media in improving the learning outcomes of economic subjects MAN 1 Pontianak class X Social Sciences on the subject matter of economic matters. The method used was an experiment with the form of Quasi-Experimental Design and post test-only control design. In this study, the experimental class was X IPS 2 class, while the control class was X IPS class 3. The Data collection used were the observation, test, and documentation worksheet instruments. Based on the formulation of the problem, the results of the research were as followeed: 1) The application of the probing prompting model assisted by video media in the experimental class and the application of conventional models in the control class have been run according to the syntax or steps that have been established in the learning implementation plan. 2 Post-test results that have been given to students in the experimental class with a total of 38 students as many as 34 students who were complete and 4 students were not completed, the lowest score was 70 and the highest was 100 with an average result of 82.24, while the post-test results were has been given to the control class totaling 38 students there were 21 students who were completed and 17 students were not completed, the lowest score was 65 and the highest was 85 with an average result of 74.61. 3) From the calculation of the effect size obtained results of 0.835, based on the applicable criteria the effect size value obtained is included in the high category.
