PENERAPAN THINK PAIR SHARE BERBANTUAN LKS WORD SQUARE TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISTEM PERNAPASAN MANUSIA

Abstract
This research was purposed to know the influence of the cooperative model application type think pair share aided by LKS word square toward student learning outcomes on the human respiratory system topic in grade VIII SMPN 1 Sungai Raya. The form of this research is quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group design. Samples of this reasearch are class VIIIA as experiment class and class VIIIB as control class. The sampling technique that used is purposive sampling. The instrument that used was multiple choice tests totaling 20 items. The average score of the results of experimental class learning is 16,24 while the control class is 13,64. The results of t test showed that tcount > ttable (4,21 > 2,00). This suggests there are differences in learning outcomes of students who are taught by the cooperative model type think pair share aided by LKS word square to those taught using conventional models. The value of Effect Size is 0,86 with high category and gave the contribution in 30,51% toward learning outcomes.
