Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to determine social integration which includes the binding elements of social integration and the form of social integration between Javanese and Madurese ethnic groups in Central Java Village, Sungai Ambawang Subdistrict, Kubu Raya District. The form of research is qualitative with descriptive method. The informants in this research were Javanese and Madurese, religious leaders and community leaders from Central Java Village. The results of the research showed that social integration between Javanese and Madurese ethnic groups in Central Java Village was considered good. This is seen from the binding elements of social integration between Javanese and Madurese ethnic groups in the form of social norms with types of social norms, namely religious norms in which Javanese and Madurese are integrated on the basis of one belief, namely Islam, politeness norms, that is good manners, and habit norms are the attitude of giving food supplies to each other when there is a large event or misfortune. Then there is a good adaptation where the attitude of tolerance is maintained, and good communication is established and solidarity is in the form of maternal recitation and the research of fathers. The form of integration is in the form of mutual respect and mutual help between Javanese and Madurese ethnic groups in Central Java Village which is quite good.Keywords: Social Integration, Elements of Binding Social Integration, the Form of Social Integration
