REMEDIASI MISKONSEPSI SISWA MELALUI MODEL THINK-PAIR-SHARE BERBANTUAN WORD SQUARE PADA PERPINDAHAN KALOR DI SMP
Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan model Think-Pair-Share berbantuan Word Square dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada perpindahan kalor di kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Mempawah Timur Kabupaten Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 25 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat penurunan miskonsepsi siswa setelah diberikan remediasi sebesar 31,2 %. Model Think-Pair-Share berbantuan Word Square efektif untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada perpindahan kalor dengan effect size Es = 2,1 ( kategori tinggi). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif kegiatan remediasi bagi siswa agar dapat mengatasi miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa.

Abstract: The aim of the research was to knowed effectiveness about the application of Think-Pair-Shares model assisted Word Square to remedial student misconceptions on heat transfer in SMP Negeri 2 Mempawah Timur Grade VII Pontianak Regent. The method of the research was experimental with one group pretest-posttest design which is 25 students participated. The results of data analysis showed that student misconception reduction after remediation was as much as 31,2 %. Think-Pair-Shares model assisted Word Square effective to remedial student misconception on heat transfer with effect size Es = 2,1 (categorized was high). This research is expected to be used as an alternative remediation activities for students to be able overcome the misconceptions that experienced by students.
